METRO: 2 injured after trainee crashed bus into pole in north Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Serious injuries have been reported after a METRO bus crashed into a pole in north Houston.

Officials responded to the scene on the feeder road of I-45 near Beltway 8.

According to METRO, the bus was being operated by two drivers, one of whom was a trainee. Somehow, the trainee drove the bus into a pole.

The two bus operators were transported to the hospital, one with serious injuries. There were no passengers on board.
