HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- On the morning of Sept. 26, 2016 a struggling attorney named Nathan Desai, armed with a handgun and submachine gun, fired at innocent people and police.

The incident happened at the corner of Weslayan and Law streets in West University.

The shooter had already wounded several people when police responded, found him and established a tight perimeter around him, shielding other potential victims.
