HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The day after the Super Bowl had thousands of fans rushing out of Houston and created a crazy day at local airports.

"Steady for people coming in and a steady flow through security," said Bill Begley with Houston Airport System.

More than 150,000 travelers passed through the airports.

"It's actually like Thanksgiving on steroids," Begley said.

Extra volunteers and security were brought in to help with the increased traffic. For travelers who arrived early, it was smooth saililng.

"It's actually not that bad. I had an issue with my phone and had to reprint my boarding pass," Greg Nadler said. "But other than that I'm good."
