Florida murder suspect arrested at Houston shelter

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A murder suspect out of Jacksonville, Florida, was arrested at a shelter in Houston.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a Crime Stoppers tip led authorities to Julian Williams at the Fannin Street shelter. Authorities say Williams tried to give officers a fake name.

He was taken into custody on charges of murder, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was wanted for the shooting death of a convenience store clerk in July.

It is unknown at this time at which shelter Williams was staying.
