At about 12:45 a.m., deputies responded to a shooting at a residence in the 5000 block of Roth Forest Lane.

Jackson was in a vehicle and shot into the home, striking a 35-year-old woman and her 11-year-old son, according to HCSO.

Deputies said earlier, an argument ensued between teenagers at a separate residence involving the 11-year-old, but the situation was temporarily calmed by a parent.

Jackson is said to be an older relative of the boys involved in the original argument. Later, the drive-by shooting took place at the victim's residence.

Deputies say the woman is expected to be OK. The 11-year-old is in serious, but stable condition.

"I really hope he makes it. I'll be praying for him because he is such a sweet soul. He's a really good kid. And I hope that everybody is OK," said a neighbor.
