Reward offered for most wanted sex offender from El Paso

AUSTIN, Texas (KTRK) -- Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $3,000 cash reward for information leading to the capture of Daniel Garcia Brown, a most wanted sex offender.

A known gang member, 47-year-old Brown went missing last year from a facility in El Paso where he had been placed following a parole violation, according to authorities. He was convicted in connection with the 1999 aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping of a 24-year-old woman in Midland County.

Brown, who also goes by the first name Danny, is six feet tall and weighs 225 pounds. He has a tattoo of the name 'Garcia' on his upper back and additional tattoos on his chest, shoulder, arms and neck.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information leading to the suspect's arrest. Tipsters can call 1-800-252-TIPS (8477) or submit information on DPS' website anonymously.
