At the same time, a driver in a 2000 Lexus was entering the service road when the motorcycle hit the car.

The motorcyclist flew off the bike, and both the person and the motorcycle landed on the mainlanes of the freeway near TX-242.

After the crash, two bystanders stopped to help the cyclist.

Authorities say another vehicle traveling northbound on I-45 didn't see the motorcycle in the road, hit the bike, lost control and hit the two bystanders.

The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old from New Caney, died at the scene.
