HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- More than 65 Houston-area companies are expected to meet with hundreds of military veterans as part of a job fair Thursday.

The hiring event is set to take place at Minute Maid Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The home of the Astros hosted the same veterans job fair back in June, when more than 463 veteran job seekers met with companies like Comcast, Honeywell, Kroger and BlueLine Rental. According to organizers, up to 482 interviews were expected and as many as 148 jobs were offered.

Other companies slated to meet with applicants include CenterPoint Energy, Harris County Sheriff's Office, Houston Police Department, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
