According to the U.S. Coast Guard, a helicopter medevacked a 14-year-old teen from a cruise ship located 109 miles southeast of Galveston.
Crews responded after receiving a request for medical assistance for the teen who was reportedly experiencing appendicitis symptoms.
The teen was transported to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
