Kroger reopens last store damaged by Hurricane Harvey

SPRING, Texas (KTRK) -- It's another sign the Greater Houston area is recovering from Hurricane Harvey.

Kroger reopened its Champions-area store Wednesday morning. The location on 15802 Champion Forest Dr. is the last store to get back up and running after receiving several feet of water during the storm.

The store had a nearly $9 million remodel from top to bottom. It features two new in-store restaurants and have 70 new employees.

The reopening kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
