HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A jury has found a man guilty of killing three family members in 2015 at a car dealership in north Houston.

James Tinsley was convicted of fatally shooting Tony Contreras, Jesse Contreras and Casey Contreras. The three men were found dead inside the Immaculate Auto Sales on Jan. 8, 2015.

During the trial, prosecutors reiterated that Tinsley had purchased a car from the dealership. He couldn't make the payments, so it was repossessed.

Authorities believe that led him back to the dealership, where he fatally shot the three men.

After the murders, Tinsley confessed to his girlfriend and she turned him in.

He also tried to burn the car dealership building down, court documents stated.

Tinsley was sentenced to life in prison.
