Human skeletal remains found in NE Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities are investigating the origin of human bones found in a wooded area of northeast Houston on Thursday.

The remains were found on the 6300 block of Bacher Street just after 1 p.m.

According to Houston police, a property owner was clearing a wooded area on his property when he discovered the bones.

Forensic investigators are working to identify the remains.
