Texans' Johnathan Joseph named AFC defensive player of the week

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Johnathan Joseph's career day during Houston Texans' romp of the Cleveland Browns garnered the 11-year veteran the AFC defensive player of the week

The defensive back picked off Cleveland quarterback Chris Hogan twice, including an 82-yard interception return for a touchdown.

His two interceptions also put him at 14 picks as a Texan, which is now the most in franchise history.

Joseph also notched three total tackles, including one for a loss, and three defended passes.

Joseph's award is the 40th such weekly honor for the Texans. Earlier this season, rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson was the AFC offensive player after week 4.
