With a revamped George R. Brown Convention Center and Discovery Green, it is hard to imagine that none of the landmarks were here in 2004.
Dave Wesson remembers the partying on Main Street.
"This is twice, three times as big and the park wasn't here," he said.
Mayor Sylvester Turner says he's hearing good reviews of the city.
"Every single one said 'just very blown away,' impressed by what they've seen in the city of Houston," Turner added.
