1 killed and 2 injured in attempted robbery shooting in NE Houston, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police are searching for three masked men accused of killing one person during a possible attempted robbery in northeast Houston.

Police said just before 8 p.m., three men broke into an apartment in the 9600 block of Homestead Road near Tidwell.

Three people were shot during the break-in, police said. A 35-year-old man was killed, and a 28-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were injured and taken to the hospital. Police said they are expected to survive.

Investigators have not released the identity of the person who was killed or a description of the gunmen, except that they were wearing masks at the time of the shooting.
