Houston police said a preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown Hispanic woman went into the restroom and left about 15 minutes later. It wasn't until hours after that the customer found the baby.
Surveillance video obtained by ABC13 shows a young woman driving up in a white sedan at about 10 p.m. Saturday. She is seen going straight into the bathroom and then leaving 15 minutes later. The convenience store owner said the baby's body was located hours later, leaving the employees traumatized.
Paramedics responded to the scene and attempted to provide medical assistance but determined the baby had been dead for hours before being discovered, HPD said.
