Saturday, November 25, 2017
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The family of a Houston Astros player had a bit of a scare Friday after their dog was nowhere to be found.

Marwin Gonzalez took to social media to ask for the public's help in finding their beloved French bulldog Benger last seen at 3:30 p.m. in the River Oaks shopping area.

"A sad house tonight wondering where our Benger is tonight. Last seen near Dunlavy & Fairview. If anyone lives in the area or knows someone please keep and eye and ear out," Gonzalez wrote on his Instagram account Friday evening.

Gonzalez shared photos of their dog with his children offering a cash reward for his return home.

Even teammate and animal lover Lance McCullers Jr. joined in the effort to help find Benger.

Shortly after, someone spotted Gonzalez's dog, and he was taken to Empire Cafe.

Gonzalez shared a photo of the happy reunion with the caption, "He's back with us."
