Ground stop lifted at Hobby Airport after air conditioning outage at traffic control tower, FAA says

Federal Aviation Administration officials say there is an air conditioning outage at Hobby, which led to a brief ground stop to be issued.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Officials said they were experiencing an AC outage at the air traffic control tower, which led to a brief ground stop at Hobby Airport Saturday night.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a ground stop was issued at the airport and a Houston arrival delay advisory as a result. Those have since been canceled.

Hobby reportedly hit a record 100 degrees Saturday and stayed at 100 for several hours.
