Predictably, Buffalo Bayou Park remains closed for the foreseeable future. The green space on the edge of downtown was completely overtaken by its namesake bayou on Sunday, and much of the park remains underwater. The bayou could remain swollen for months as controlled releases from the Addicks and Barker Dams continue.
Memorial Park is still unsafe for visitors. According to the Memorial Park Conservancy, the highly saturated park grounds have destabilized tree roots, and falling trees remain an "imminent hazard."

Discovery Green has reopened to the public with no major damage, although regularly scheduled programming will not resume until Sept. 6. Some areas of the park may be temporarily closed for maintenance.
Upper Kirby's Levy Park was not damaged in the storm and has reopened to the public. Programming resumes Saturday, Sept. 2.

The McGovern Centennial Gardens at Hermann Park have reopened, although there is still debris and downed trees in other areas of the park. Some gravel paths were also damaged by the storm and will be repaired over the coming weeks.
