SAN ANTONIO, TX (KTRK) -- The state of Texas reported its first case of a pregnant woman infected with the Zika virus who did not travel outside of the state.

The woman, who lives in the San Antonio-area, traveled to Brownsville around the same time six local residents acquired the virus from mosquitoes.

It is unclear if she was bitten or if she contracted the virus through sexual contact with an infected partner.
