Erik Barajas wins "Hairry Award" for best anchor hair in Texas

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- For anchormen and "anchorladies" - having the right hairstyle is kind of a big deal, and Eyewitness News anchor Erik Barajas is camera ready at all times. His ability to bring his perfectly-primped hair to every newscast has earned him a "HAIRRYs Award" for best male anchor hair in Texas.

The HAIRRYs celebrate fabulous hair and the people who have it, according to its website. When choosing the "HAIRRY Award" recipients they look for the following characteristics: thickness, volume, style and no receding hairline. The HAIRRYs claim they do not take hair color or attractiveness of the man into consideration, however the organization claims "there seems to be a correlation between great hair and overall hotness."
