Houston Police Department said officers received the call at 3:35 p.m. in the 13400 block of the Gulf Freeway near Conklin Lane. The crash site was just off the northbound feeder.
SkyEye reporter Don Armstrong also reported seeing another damaged vehicle being hauled off from the scene. Police did not specify how this vehicle was involved.
Fire Chief Samuel Peña elaborated on what happened, explaining that a motorist hit one of the department's vehicles while in service at a primary scene for the third time in a week. There were no serious injuries, the chief said.

"(U.S. Department of Transportation) indicates (more than) 18% of traffic deaths nationwide occur from secondary incidents," Peña tweeted. "Pay attention. Slow down when first responders are on the road."
