"The Grimes County Sheriff's Office would like to thank everyone that assisted with this capture," the sheriff's office wrote in a statement.
According to authorities, Guerrero was arrested on July 8, 2022, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He made trustee in August 2022 and did not have disciplinaries.
It's unclear how his absence went unnoticed for so long.
