Police said Mabry was last seen at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Clearview Avenue, less than a mile away from where his remains were found.
Mabry, who was new to the area, went out on a walk but never came back.
On Tuesday, police said the remains were identified by the Galveston County Medical Examiner's Office and concluded there is no evidence of foul play.
