In the small town of Crosby, Friday night football fever is burning hotter than ever.

The town goes red. This year, there's a new found pride after the opening of the new Cougars High School campus.

"Everyone wants to talk about the smell," said high school senior Payton Bronstrop. "It smells brand-new, like when you have a house first painted."

Beyond the walls, there's technology seen in every corner. There are wifi hubs in every classroom to ensure there's alway high speed internet available to every student. There's also giant monitors throughout the lunchroom and in open teacher areas used for student and teacher presentations.

"I love it. It's the best thing ever," said student Rebekah Carter.

"Now all your notes can be super neat because your hand does not cramp," said Carter.

So far, there's only been a few glitches with the technology. It's been more so of a boost in learning and moral.

"They have this new school, and they have opportunities and all that they can do, and they kind of walk with a purpose," said Bronstrop.
