'Suspicious' fire kills 6 horses and destroys 2 barns overnight

LAKEWOOD, Colorado (KTRK) -- Investigators are trying to determine who or what caused a suspicious fire that left six horses dead Saturday night.

Authorities believe the fires may be the work of an arsonist.

The flames erupted at two adjacent barns in Lakewood, Colorado around the same time as other suspicious fires in the area occurred.

Reports say 10 horses were inside the barn at the time of the fire, but only four of them made it out alive.
