Officials: Cause of fire near Humble High School under investigation

HUMBLE, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities were called to the scene of a fire near Humble High School just before 2 p.m. Sunday.

According to Atascocita Fire Department, the fire impinged on an oil field storage facility on Will Clayton Parkway. After catching fire, a plastic tank opened and spilled what was contained inside.

A mixture of salt water and crude oil caught fire, officials said.

Harris County's hazmat team is on location.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

No injuries were reported.
