Matthew Jones, JeCorey Harris and Jamhal Davis are now charged with the kidnapping of Edwin Cotton. Cotton told police he still needed to pay back the rest of a $20,000 loan he used to buy drugs.
The suspects kidnapped Cotton on Saturday and had him call his brother for the money.
His brother alerted police. HPD units arrived and took the men into custody.
