Man drowns at Banana Bend along the San Jacinto River

HIGHLANDS, Texas (KTRK) -- A man drowned at Banana Bend Beach along the San Jacinto River on Sunday, authorities said.

In a video sent to ABC13, eyewitnesses performed CPR until emergency officials arrived. The man had been under water for about 10 to 15 minutes.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officials have not released the identity of the man.
