It happened on Boynton near Lynden around 11:30 p.m.
The driver first crashed into a utility pole before hitting the garage, police said.
Two vehicles inside caught fire and were damaged.
People nearby told authorities they saw two people running from the crash after it happened.
There was no damage to the house and no injuries were reported.
