The condition is known as diastasis recti, a medical condition in which a woman's ab muscles become separated from the tissue of the abdomen during pregnancy.
Singer and former Destiny's Child performer Kelly Rowland has been extremely vocal about her challenges with a flabby belly after giving birth, Shape Magazine reports.
Rowland revealed she suffered from diastasis recti in her book "Whoa, Baby! A Guide for New Moms Who Feel Overwhelmed and Freaked Out (and Wonder What the #*@& Just Happened)."
While her abs might look amazing now, it wasn't that long ago when Rowland was hopelessly poking at her gut.

"Every day I work hard to try to pull my abs together, and I actually have some back problems now because I didn't know my core wasn't as tight as it was before I had the baby," Rowland wrote.
Rowland says two years after the birth of her son, Titan Jewell Witherspoon, she is still working to get her belly back.

Garner said she was tired of rumors she was pregnant again, and went on "Ellen" to set the record straight, Abs After Baby reports.
"I do have a baby bump. Hold up, I am not pregnant. But I have had three kids and there is a bump," Garner said. "From now on, ladies, I will have a bump. And it will be my baby bump. Let's just all settle in and get used to it. It's not going anywhere."
Zara Phillips, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, and three-time Olympic gold medalist and soccer player Heather Mitts have also reportedly battled with diastasis recti.
