SkyEye flew over the scene, where it appeared a pickup truck had slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler cab. The cab was not attached to a trailer.
According to HPD, a white tractor-trailer truck was stopped in the southbound lanes of McCarty with its left turn signal on to turn onto Portwall Street when a blue Ford F-150 hit the back of it.
The Ford then caught fire and was extinguished by a passerby, police said.
