Car hits Conroe ISD school bus with students on board

Friday, March 31, 2017
CONROE, Texas (KTRK) -- Several Conroe ISD elementary school students had minor injuries after a car slammed into their school bus.

School officials said 58 students from Ford Elementary were on board at the time of the incident this morning.

The driver of Bus 4005 was turning from Wild Rose onto Rayford Road in Spring when the car smashed into its side.

Some students hit their heads on windows and others fell out of their seats, but none of the injuries seemed serious.

From our vantage point through SkyEye, it did not appear there was much damage to the bus.

The students were placed on another school bus, and continued on to school.

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies rushed to the scene, alongside EMS, campus administrators, CISD transportation officials, and Conroe ISD police.

We also saw some concerned parents who came to check on their students.
