FOOTBALL SATURDAY: UH grabs big win, other local teams take home L's

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It was gameday across the college football world for several Houston teams. Most looked to continue their winning ways, while one local team tried to grab its first win of the season.

UH VS. SMU
University of Houston (4-1, 2-0 AAC) added their fourth win of the season after a 35-22 win over SMU. Kyle Postma threw for two touchdowns and 176 yards for the Cougars.



RICE VS. ARMY WEST POINT
The Owls dropped to 1-5 on the season after a 49-12 defeat to Army. Rice was unable to stop the Black Knights offense, quickly falling behind 21-0 after the first quarter.



PRAIRIE VIEW A&M VS. GRAMBLING
The Panthers were unable to overcome an early deficit, dropping 34-21 to Grambling in the State Fair Classic at the Cotton Bowl.

TEXAS SOUTHERN AT KENNESAW STATE
The number of wins Texas Southern has this year remains at zero after a 48-3 loss to Kennesaw State.



HBU VS. CENTRAL ARKANSAS
The Huskies were unable to close the gap against No. 6 Central Arkansas, falling 27-7 at HBU Stadium.
