A 25-year-old man was struck in the lower back at the business on Ella Boulevard near Barren Springs.
Deputies found over a dozen shell casings on the ground.
A bystander rushed the victim to the hospital in their car. Harris County Sheriff's deputies said the victim is expected to survive.
