Teen raises $5,000 to buy bulletproof vests for police K9s

WILMINGTON, Delaware -- On Tuesday, Wilmington police thanked a high school senior who's on a mission to help K9 officers.

Brennen Wright attends Appoquinimink High School in Middletown. His senior service project was to raise funds to purchase bulletproof vests for K9s.

Wright's initial goal was $2,200 to purchase two vests. So far, he's collected more than $5,000.

Wright wants to be a veterinarian.
