2 seriously injured after woman jumps from bridge onto Kayak at Barton Creek in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas (KTRK) -- At least two people were injured after police say a woman jumped from a pedestrian bridge onto a kayak at Barton Creek.

Lake patrol was able to rescue the injured people, and bring them to shore for medical treatment.

Authorities say both victims sustained serious injuries, but are expected to survive.

There is no word at this time why the woman jumped from the bridge.
