JERSEY VILLAGE, Texas (KTRK) -- A boil water notice has been lifted on Sunday for Jersey Village after two days of water quality concerns.

On Friday, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required Jersey Village public water system to issue the notice due to low water pressure.
"The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system (that) is used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of August 28, 2022," the Jersey Village city manager wrote in a letter." the Jersey Village city manager wrote in a letter.

The commission confirmed the water is now safe to use again for drinking or human consumption purposes.
