TUSCON, AZ (KTRK) -- Even with the possibility of a border wall looming on the horizon, two breweries on opposite sides of the US-Mexico border have teamed up to produce a custom brew to promote trade between their respective nations.
Buqui Bichi Brewery in Hermosillo, Mexico and Borderlands Brewing Company in Tuscon, Arizona created Cerveza Sin Fronteras (Beer Without Borders) after their owners were disgusted by campaign talk about building a wall across the border.

The companies used ingredients from both countries, putting together a recipe that can be brewed at both of their locations. But what would happen if NAFTA went away under a new presidency?

"Mexican breweries who are largely importing brewery ingredients from the US without tariffs and without limitations on the amounts that they can buy -- if that were to go away, then the grain companies would lose a lot of business," Mike Mallozzi, of Borderlands Brewing Company, told KGUN-TV.

As a result, the price of beer could increase.
Both brewery owners hope their beer shows how people from different countries can work together to create a product that is good for both economies.
