Palcic, who ESPN's Adam Schefter reported as expendable due to her no longer seen as "a cultural fit," singled out friends, colleagues and total strangers during such an awkward position.
Palcic was the winner of the 2017 Rozelle Award for the best public relations staff. She was also the first and only woman to have full public relations responsibilities for an NFL team.
"PR can often be a thankless job," Palcic tweeted. "We live behind the scenes lifting others up. A great reminder that being a good person matters in the long run."
While the Texans have yet to release a statement on Palcic's departure, the team may be facing potential legal consequences for the reported move.
Houston attorney Joseph Ahmad confirmed to ABC13 that Palcic retained him for legal representation. Ahmad, though, didn't disclose any other details about his client when reached Thursday.
Among the highlights of her pioneering stint in the Texans organization, Palcic was mentioned as a significant contributor to J.J. Watt's Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
Palcic also organized the memorable surprise for quarterback Deshaun Watson when his contract extension was announced earlier this year.

Palcic's departure came a month after former Texans head coach and general manager Bill O'Brien was let go after starting the season winless in the first four games.
