Music icon Diana Ross was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award as she performed a medley of her hit songs.
Niall Horan took home the New Artist of the Year Award, and the award for Favorite Artist - Alternative Rock was especially poignant for Linkin Park after lead singer Chester Bennington passed away this year.
"I want you guys to take a moment to appreciate what you've got, and make Chester proud," band member Mike Shinoda said when accepting the award.
