ALVIN, Texas (KTRK) -- An Alvin newspaper publisher is apologizing after a not-so-jolly holiday ad made its way into a special edition.
"The Alvin Advertiser" released their Christmas holiday newspaper this morning, but something caught the eye of a lot of readers.

Instead of reading "Save money. Live better," a Walmart ad read instead "Save money. Screw people over."
The publisher explained an employee was looking for a Walmart logo on the internet and accidentally grabbed the wrong one.
The newspaper is now apologizing in writing, saying it was their mistake and they admit to it.

"We value Walmart in our community and appreciate the service and the good deals they provide to all shoppers," the newspaper said in a statement.
The paper will publish an apology in next Wednesday's edition.
