It happened at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Shirin Diamond Center inside the mall, near the Gulf Freeway and Almeda Genoa.

Harris County Precinct 8 deputies responded to a burglary in progress call. As they were searching the area, a deputy found an occupied vehicle with its headlights off across the street from the mall.
As the deputy approached the vehicle, he noticed the front license plate was covered with a piece of clothing. The driver was immediately detained and two suspects in dark clothing were seen running through the mall parking lot.
One of the fleeing suspects is also accused of pointing a handgun at a wrecker driver who tried to stop them.
As the deputy was escorting the detained driver into his patrol car, the suspect broke away and started to run off. The deputy was able to catch the suspect, who was identified as 28-year-old Telvin Leavean McMillion.

One suspect, 39-year-old Jubbar Ballee Bothe, was found hiding in nearby bushes. He was found to be in possession of several trash bags, burglary tools and an assortment of jewelry.
The third suspect, 27-year-old Cameron Zonell, was found hiding in a dumpster. He was also found with a handgun.
McMillion was charged with escape and burglary of a business. Boothe was charged with burglary of a business and Zonell was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a weapon and burglary of a business.
The suspects' bonds have not been set.
