HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Drivers traveling to Bush Intercontinental Airport Thursday morning were faced with major delays thanks to a hazmat spill on the North Sam Houston Parkway.

A concrete mixer overturned on the North Beltway 8 eastbound feeder before JFK Boulevard around 5 a.m.

All lanes of the Beltway were closed following the crash. It didn't completely open until around 11:18 a.m.

Crews at the scene worked for hours to upright the truck and clean up the mess left behind.

The right shoulder was still blocked at 11:30 a.m., but all lanes of traffic were flowing.

It was unclear what exactly led up to the crash or if any injuries were reported.
