11-year-old boy who was last seen on Friday in east Houston found safe

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An 11-year-old boy who hadn't been seen since Friday, April 29 in east Houston has been found safe nearly a week later.

Authorities sent out an update on Wednesday morning that Joe Simmons Wingo Jr. has been located. They did not release any more details.

Wingo has been missing since last week, when he was seen sometime during the night.

Again, he is safe.
