Hundreds of bees did as they pleased and swarmed beneath the wing of an American Airlines jet at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

American spokeswoman Andrea Huguely said Thursday that nobody was stung. The Boeing 767 later flew to Frankfurt, Germany.

Flight 70 from Las Vegas arrived Wednesday afternoon. A cargo crew noticed bees under the right wing.

Huguely says a beekeeper was summoned and safely removed the queen and the swarm. The cargo from Las Vegas was removed, then crews started loading bags for the Frankfurt flight.

Huguely says the queen's scent apparently lingered. More bees quickly headed for the same wing spot.

The beekeeper returned and removed the additional unwanted insects.

Huguely says the beekeeper and American's team at DFW did a "sweet job" taking care of the situation.
