Man walks out of Houston Denny's with cash register

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police are searching for a man who walked into an area restaurant overnight and managed to walk out with the cash register.

The man walked into the Denny's restaurant off Washington and Katy Freeway, and was seen running across the bridge towards Memorial Park with the register.

Police said they are not yet sure how much money was taken, pending an inventory by the restaurant.

The same restaurant was the scene of a deadly robbery in 2013.
