Several SB lanes of Highway 288 at US 59 shut down due to big rig wreck

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An accident involving an 18-wheeler is causing a traffic mess on Highway 288 at the Southwest Freeway.

The accident happened before 3pm. Several southbound lanes are shut down and it's causing a back up in the area.

It's unclear if there are any injuries at this point.
