Man accused of killing his brother in his bed in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Charges have been filed against a man accused of killing his own brother in the victim's bed.

Authorities were called to the home in the 16100 block of Lazy Ridge Drive at about 12:40pm Sunday. Damien Petty, 35, was found dead in his bed, with blunt force head trauma.

During their investigation, Houston police officers located Damien's brother Donald Petty, they say, with a hammer in his waistband. Donald Petty, 36, was charged with murder, taken into custody and booked into the Fort Bend County jail.
