Two vehicle accident shuts down I-45 Gulf Freeway inbound at Fuqua

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- All inbound main lanes of the I-45 Gulf Freeway at Fuqua are back open following an accident involving two vehicles.

Police say around 12:30am, a Chevy Malibu was traveling northbound on the Gulf Freeway when he struck the wall and spun out of control. His vehicle then ended up in the middle of the freeway when the vehicle was then struck by a Camaro.

The driver of the Malibu was thrown from the vehicle. Both drivers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

All main lanes of the freeway reopened around 4:15am this morning.
